Joystiq.com released four new screenshots today featuring eight characters in various states of combat. Included is a screenshot of Cyrax performing a special move, possibly a redesign of his Saw Blade attack from Deadly Alliance. Not to be outdone, Nightwolf is showcased bringing down a green energy knife on Mileena. Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Reptile are also featured.

For this week's Fatality Friday, the MKCommunityManager has revealed the top choice of the community for favorite fatality from the legendary Mortal Kombat II. After being notably snubbed by GameTrailers, Kung Lao's vertical hat slice fatality took home the top prize! The classic fatality is slated to make a return in the upcoming game as part of one of Kung Lao's fatalities.

E3 came to a close on June 17th, but as the media left the floor and the fans tuned away from their streams, Mortal Kombat was the game on everyone's mind. After winning Gamespot's Fan Choice award during Day 2, the game was chosen to close out the site's coverage of the event. Ed Boon narrated over the gameplay featured as designers Paulo Garcia and John Edwards took control of several of the game's revealed characters to showcase gameplay mechanics, special moves and fatalities. As the second of three days at E3 rolled on, new information about the upcoming Mortal Kombat game surfaced in the form of new interviews and video. Firstly, G4 conducted an interview with Ed Boon in which he talked at great length about the gameplay, specifically the combo system, of the game, which he confirmed would be about in Spring 2011 for the Playstation 3 and XBox 360. Cinder, from the official Midway Boards, has posted yet another set of loading screens from MK: Armageddon! These screens feature a few characters we have yet to see in the versus sceenshots that have been released thus far:

Over on the Midway Boards, Cinder has once again come through and posted some more koncept drawings from the soon-to-be-released action/adventure game Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks! This time, Cinder has posted two koncept drawings. The first is a color drawing of one of the two title characters, Kung Lao! The other is a koncept drawing of the Outworld female assassin, Mileena!

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks has gone gold, Cinder over on the Midway Boards has posted two more pieces of koncept art! This time, the two pieces of koncept art feature the heroes of MK: Shaolin Monks: Liu Kang and Kung Lao (who is featured with a furry little familiar friend)!

Cinder of the Midway Boards has come through for the fans once again. This time, he has posted renders of the main characters from Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks: Liu Kang and Kung Lao! These renders are in the same format as the other released renders, with the characters posing in Shang Tsung's throne room.

Midway has released five new screenshots from their upcoming action/adventure game, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks! These five shots show a couple of interesting surprises, including Scorpion's UMK3 costume, Reptile giving an odd kick to Liu Kang, and Mileena taking a bit of a fire bath.
